What is buyuk yeni han?

Buyuk Yeni Han is a historic caravanserai located in Nicosia, the capital city of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. It was built in the 16th century during the Ottoman Empire and was used as a shelter for merchants and their camels during their travels.

The structure comprises two stories and features a central courtyard. On the ground floor, there are 68 rooms designed to house guests and their animals, while the upper floor serves as a storage area. The entrance gate of the caravanserai is located on the north-western side and is carved in stone with an Arabic inscription.
